Terms of service
The rules for using Obscenter. Last updated 27 October 2026.
1. Who and what
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Obscenter (obscenter.site) (“we”) about the use of Obscenter at obscenter.site (“the service”): an observability service that measures websites, mobile apps and servers, opens a ticket when something stops being normal, and tells the people you choose. By creating an account, or by signing in with Google, you accept these terms. If you register for an organisation, you confirm that you may accept them on its behalf.
2. Your account
Give us an address that is yours and keep your password and keys to yourself. You are responsible for what is done in your organisation, including by the people you invite and the API and agent keys you issue. Tell us at once at info@obscenter.site if you think somebody else has access to your account.
3. Price
A new organisation gets a free trial of 15 days, with one server and any number of websites and mobile apps. When the trial ends, monitoring pauses until the organisation has a licence: the agents stop sending, nothing new is measured, and the dashboard shows only the plan page. What was already collected is kept under the usual retention, and is visible again as soon as a licence is granted.
Licences — for more servers, for a longer period, or for an installation on your own server — are agreed with us individually at info@obscenter.site. Nothing is ever charged without your explicit agreement.
4. Your data
What you and your agents send to the service remains yours. You give us the right to store, process and display it only as far as needed to provide the service to you. For personal data about your visitors and users, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf, following your instructions as expressed by how you configure the service; we keep it confidential, protect it, and delete it as described in section 8. The privacy notice describes the data we hold about you yourself.
5. Your responsibilities
You may only put the tag on sites and apps, and the agents on machines, that you are entitled to measure. Informing your visitors and users and, where the law requires it, asking for their consent is your responsibility. Features that act on your systems — the console that opens a shell on a machine, workflows, load tests — act as you configure them: use them only on systems you control, and never aim a load test at a site that is not yours.
6. What is not allowed
Using the service for anything unlawful; trying to reach another organisation’s data; attacking, overloading or probing the service or anybody else through it; sending it malicious software or content; circumventing its limits; or reselling it without our written agreement. We may suspend an account or key that does any of these, to protect the service and its other users.
7. Availability
We work to keep the service running and your data safe, and we take backups, but the service is provided as it is, without a guaranteed availability. We may change, improve or remove features; if a change takes away something you rely on, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can. Maintenance may make it briefly unavailable.
8. Ending
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account or organisation, as described in the privacy notice. We may end the service for you with 30 days’ notice by email, or at once if you seriously breach these terms. After an organisation is closed, its data is deleted within 30 days.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost profit or lost data arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for harm to life, body or health, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Obscenter tells you about problems it detects; it does not guarantee that it detects every problem.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will announce material changes at least 14 days before they take effect, by email to account owners and on this page. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can close your account.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Hungarian law. Disputes go before the courts competent at our seat, except that if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may also go before its courts.
